The Stockman is believed to be a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern and shares similarities in the design. The Medium Stockman is the second largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This version features Rustic Red and brown Richlite covers, polished Tru-Sharp blades and polished nickel silver bolsters and oval shield.

Blade:Â The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are finished in a bright polish and are each equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as backup. All three come with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance.
Handle: Polished Nickel Silver bolsters frame smooth, red and brown Richlite covers for a classic and stylish look. A recycled paper and phenolic resin composite similar to Micarta, layered Richlite offers the figured look of wood with the durability and weather resistance of a modern composite. The covers are fitted with brass pins to brass liners with sturdy back springs for simple, smooth slip joint operation. The front handle sports a polished Bow Tie shield.
Case Tru-Sharp:Â Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
