The Northfield UN-X-LD #65 “Bullet” Ben Hogan is a long, slim, single blade jack knife top-notch fit and finish. The #65 offers full size utility with a slender footprint for ease of carry. This version has a polished 1095 carbon steel blade with “UN-X-LD Bullet” blade etch, pinched and grooved nickel silver bolsters, and Indian Paint Brush jigged bone covers with “Bullet” shield.

Blade: The large 1095 carbon steel clip point blade opens with a snappy half stop via a stylish long pull and has a full flat grind for optimal performance. The blade is polished satin with standard tang stamp markings and “UN-X-LD Bullet” blade etch.

Handle: Fit perfectly to pinched and grooved, polished nickel silver bolsters are Indian Paint Brush jigged bone covers, delivering a generous handle with a gentle taper toward the blade and subtle index guard. Construction is classic brass liner and pin with a strong stainless steel back spring for secure slip joint operation and polished UN-X-LD “Bullet” shield. Each GEC knife ships in a sturdy tube with company information on the front. 

1095 Carbon Steel: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, 1095 can be differentially heat treated (hard edge/soft spine) for optimized performance.
