After extensive research and development Spartan Blades offers their first automatic design, the Zelos. The son of Pallas and Styx in Greek mythology, this Zelos bares a strong resemblance to the Spartan Pallas folder with its utilitarian drop point blade and ergonomic, 6061 aerospace grade aluminum handles. Built with a robust yet smooth coil spring mechanism the Zelos deployment is quick and reliable without compromising control of the blade. This Blackout version features a black PVD coated S45VN blade with matching handle, screws and titanium pocket clip.
Brand new, direct from Spartan Blades.
Blade: The utilitarian S45VN drop point blade comes in a discreetly non-reflective matte black PVD with a high saber grind that offers a solid balance of durability and cutting performance. The dark PVD coating is durable and corrosion resistant that resists wear from heavy use. Bronze pivot washers provide smooth automatic deployment at a press of the button.
Handle: Black hard anodized 6061 aluminum delivers a handle that is simple, sleek, and ergonomic with contoured edges for comfort. The matte black finish is classy and discreet while the plunge lock delivers smooth action and reliable lockup backed by a slide safety for an added level of security both open and closed. Matching black hardware and clip round out construction.
Carries via a black PVD, right hand only titanium pocket clip.
CPM-S45VN: An evolution in Crucible’s S30-series, S45VN shows improved edge retention and corrosion resistance relative to S35VN and offers an upgrade to Elmax with better hardness, corrosion resistance, toughness, and sharpness with similar edge retention.
